They absolutely love living in Rancho Santa Fe and they have made many wonderful friends. They love the beauty of RSF, the trails, sports fields and the school. Jessica Javelet

Jessica “JJ” Javelet daughter of our very own members Jeff and Madeline Javelet, is a crossover athlete who excelled at field hockey early in her athletic career. A three-time All-American from the University of Louisville, JJ eventually joined the USA National Field Hockey team and went on to play professionally in Germany.

After returning to the U.S. she missed her competitive outlet and joined the Women's Football Association (WFA), where she ended up playing football for four years. She was recruited in 2013 to play for the U.S. when the Women's Eagles Sevens pursued crossover athletes who could transition their athletic skills to rugby. JJ most recently traveled to Rio to participate in the 2016 Olympics, JJ scored 5 tries and was named to the All-Tournament Team by World Rugby!

"I've been very fortunate. I've gotten to go on numerous tours to represent the United States internationally in rugby, and to have the chance to go onto the biggest stage there is to represent my country is a lifelong dream come true. And it's not just about going to the Olympics. It's about getting out there and performing and making everyone proud. It's about showing the world we're a force to be reckoned with.” - Jessica Javelet

Michael Zhang

Michael is 13 years old and started in our junior program about 3 years ago and over the last year and a half years he has really dedicated himself to the game of golf.

He also likes playing soccer, which he has spent a lot of time doing prior to playing golf. The best part of golf for Michael is his short game and putting. He enjoys RSF Golf Club’s short game practice area because it is so well designed and can help improve anyone’s short game as long as they are willing to practice. Michael also likes to use his putter because he feels he can always rely on it if he is not striking the ball well.

Michael enjoys playing golf with his younger brother Gerry because they always help each other out, especially when they play their favorite course Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club. Michael especially likes this course because it is more challenging than other courses he has played and he likes the challenge.
Michael’s favorite golfer is Rickie Fowler because he always looks like he is having fun on the golf course, which Michael sees that as golf is supposed to be fun as well as a competition. (Also because he likes the color orange)

Michael recently had his first golf tournament WIN! He plays in the NCJGA, North County Junior Golf Association

Graham Walker

Graham is 13 years old and has been playing golf since he was a toddler when his dad bought him his first set of clubs, and to this day he still enjoys playing golf with his dad. He also likes playing golf with his friends and teach his little brother Andrew, who is 3, hoping he will grow up to love the game as much as he does. Graham is very dedicated to his golf game, but also enjoys playing basketball as well as skiing and wake boarding.

The best feeling for Graham is when he plays golf and knows he has hit the ball just right and a really low scoring round is coming together. It’s rounds like these that make up for any bad rounds Graham might have.

Graham’s favorite club is his driver because he feels he is consistent with it and feels it is the best part of the game. He really enjoys using his driver at his favorite course, Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club because even though he has played several rounds, he always finds a new surprise on every hole.

Graham’s favorite golfer is Jordan Speith because he perseveres when he isn’t playing his best, then works hard to come back stronger.

Graham recently played in a Tournament at The Vineyards Golf Course and shot a 79 for first place.
